Environmental Action

The DRARA Environment Action Group (EAG) aims to support practical ways of reducing energy use and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

The Green Flashes compiled by the EAG and sent out via email (usually) monthly, cover such green topics as cycling and recycling, slow cooking, composting, and feeding and watching the birds.

The group have a couple of Street Gardening sessions each year when compost and plants are added to the tree pits (the beds round the trees).  It also organises an Open Gardens event annually where local residents open their garden to their neighbours.

Members of the group also provide pots of beautiful flowers to decorate the tables for Meal in the Street and contribute to the Warneford Apple Day in the autumn.

If you would like to come and help with any of these activities, or for further information about the Environment Action Group, please contact Anna Eden, annaeden49@hotmail.com
