Apple Day

Date: Sunday 26th September 2010
Time: 12.00 - 16.30
Location: Warneford Meadow (entrance from end of Hill Top Road)

Friends of Warneford Meadow annual Apple Day on the Meadow – a special occasion to celebrate our new Town Green!

Lots of activities for all the family – apple picking, apple press (bring empty bottles so you can take home some really fresh apple juice!), refreshments, home made bread, jams and preserves, Oxford Honey from Hill Top Road’s own hives

Click on ApplePoster2010-v2 to download poster for your window!

Local gardeners and allotment holders are invited to bring any surplus produce to sell in aid of the Friends of Warneford Meadow.

An orchard tour at 2.30 will be led by Graeme Salmon, noted local historian – and you can also buy his new book about the history of East Oxford “Beyond Magdalen Bridge”.  And there will be children’s activities.

The Friends of Warneford Meadow mugs, cards and pictures will be available.

Volunteers are needed to help – making cakes or preserves in advance, or helping on the day.  Please contact Elizabeth Mills on 01865 724695
