Olympic Torch Relay in Oxford 9 July 2012

The Olympic Torch Relay will be a 70-day celebration, starting in the UK on 19 May 2012 and involving 800 torch bearers, travelling thousands of miles and bringing the London 2012 Games to hundreds of communities across the UK. In 2012, the Relay is scheduled to visit Oxford on 9 July 2012. 95% of the UK population will be within a one-hour journey of the Flame and 8,000 people will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to carry the Flame, and with it a message of peace, hope, respect and friendship.
