Introduction of a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Divinity Road Area – Consultation Process

Around 13 June 2008 you will be receiving a letter from Oxfordshire County Council as part of the consultation process for its planned introduction of a CPZ in the area. You will be asked to respond with your views.

At this stage we do not know how many parking spaces will be available within the CPZ – to an extent this will be dependent on the design and the consultation process itself – but we do know that parking capacity in the area is likely to be reduced from anything between 40 – 60 per cent. The CPZ is scheduled for introduction in March 2010.

DRARA has been in discussions with Oxfordshire County Council on behalf of residents to gather as much information as possible so residents can assess the key issues ahead of a decision which will have a major impact on our area and lifestyles.

Before you respond to Oxfordshire County Council we would ask you to consider the following points:

Parking Restrictions

Design of CPZ

Pavement Parking

The DRARA committee urges you to consider all the above points when making your responses to Oxfordshire County Council. If you have any questions, please contact either Lynne Trenery on lynne@setpoint.co.uk or James Styring on jamesstyring@yahoo.co.uk
