DRARA was set up over 20 years ago to maintain and to improve the environment and amenities of the area, and to promote the interests of the residents.

DRARA covers the following East Oxford streets:

  • Divinity Road

  • Minster Road

  • Warneford Road

  • Hill Top Road

  • Stone Street

  • Bartlemas Road

  • Southfield Road

  • Residents of the Bartlemas Conservation Area

  • Evelyn Court

  • Those parts of Cowley Road that adjoin the area outlined on the map (north side)

DRARA’s events, publicity of these, newsletters and campaigning work, are all funded from subscription income. So by joining DRARA, you will be making a real difference to the local environment.  DRARA actively works with key agencies to address local concerns over issues such as traffic, licensing and student behaviour.  Its committee is structured to enable effective effort.

DRARA is entirely dependent upon subscription income to continue its excellent work. Subscriptions are £5 per household or suggested donation of £2 for students, the unwaged or those who have retired.

Subscriptions or donations can be paid by cash or cheque (made payable to DRARA) delivered to our Treasurer at 93 Divinity Road, or by standing order (please email membership@drara.org.uk to get a copy of the standing order form).

If you are already a member, but are not receiving the DRARA emails or wish to change your email address, please contact our membership secretary at membership@drara.org.uk.

General Data Protection Regulation 2018: Members’ contact details will be stored on a computer database by the Membership Secretary and/or Treasurer of DRARA and will be used solely for the business of DRARA, and accessible only to members of the DRARA Committee. They will not be passed to any third party organisation. They will not be kept for longer than two years after a membership has lapsed.  DRARA members may opt out of DRARA update emails at any time using the link at the bottom of the emails.  If a member wishes to be removed from the membership database entirely, please email membership@drara.org.uk.

Subscription payments for existing members

Annual subscriptions are usually collected by our membership team from October onwards.  However this has been difficult over the last 18 months for obvious reasons,  If you have previously been a member but need to pay your subscription, this can be done in a number of ways. The annual subscription starts from October and is £5/household or £2/Concession household and can be paid in a number of ways;

  • Via BACS directly by you to our bank account - .Please click on this link to request the necessary instructions (or email membership@drara.org.uk), referencing your address and name in the email

  • Via a standing order payment - this is our preference on an ongoing basis and is easy to set up when you pay by BACS or by completing the standing order form (please email membership@drara.org.uk for this).

  • By cash, by placing your cash into an named and addressed envelope and posting through our Treasurer's door at 93 Divinity Road, or paying your subs collector when they call round.
