DRARA Open Gardens - this Sunday 12th June!

This Sunday, DRARA Open Gardens returns, and we are all looking forward to exploring the amazing array of gardens in our neighbourhood and learning from our fantastic team of Open Gardeners! There will be teas and cakes on Hill Top Road and at SS Mary and John's churchyard, and the much loved plant sale outside 111 Divinity Road, and at 40 Minster Rd, an exhibition of wild flower prints, and sale of Rebecca's delicious jams!

How to take part

From 2pm, come along to the registration point at the entrance to Sinnet Court (the Southfield Road end of Warneford Road) to collect your entrance ticket and map of participating gardens. Tickets are £4 per adult (suggested minimum donation - cash only), and all proceeds will go to local charities. The gardens will close at 6pm.

Can you help?

Offers to help on the registration table and donations of cakes or plants would be really appreciated – please email events@drara.org.uk if you can help.

June has been a busy month in the DRARA neighbourhood... Firstly, our DRARA in the Park Jubilee Tea Party took place last Saturday - a wonderful turnout across all generations of our community - with tightrope walking, rounders, football and crown making, and plenty of cakes and tea and space to sit and chat, it was a fun packed afternoon!

On Monday we had our first ever First Mondays with DRARA panel discussion: DRARA Gardeners' Q&A - where experts and experienced gardeners from our community answered an amazing array of questions from our community - questions I think we all need answers to! You can view a recording of the discussions here.

DRARA Events Team – can you help?

After the last few years of disruptions to our normal routines, everyone would love more neighbourhood events! But these can’t happen without people to organise them, and we are struggling a bit on resources at the moment. If you’d like to help create more gatherings and events for our community, or have got new ideas that you’d like to try, please get in touch with Tamasin - events@drara.org.uk
