We know how much everyone looks forward to our annual DRARA Open Gardens, and for obvious reasons, it can't take place this year. However, the gardens in the DRARA area are looking more splendid than ever, so we wanted to find a way for people still to be able to share their gardens.... so we have been hard at work creating the DRARA Virtual Open Gardens! Our open gardeners have captured favourite aspects of their gardens, to give us a little photo tour with commentary of each of their special spaces.
This Sunday June 14th, on the date originally planned for Open Gardens, we will unveil the DRARA Virtual Open Gardens - the link will be sent round by email, and available on the drara website.
Open Gardens has a great history of raising funds for some really good causes. This year, we have chosen to support: Restore, Cowley Road Carnival and the St Mary and St John Churchyard Project, online links will be available for anyone who would like to contribute.
Following the launch of DRARA Virtual Open Gardens, we would love to collect photos from our whole DRARA community of the favourite plant, flower or corner of your garden! Please email your photo, plus a brief description and your street name, to events@drara.org.uk, and we will upload as many as we can to the gallery over the coming weeks.
